The Work We Take On
We work on garage doors, not garage remodels. Broken torsion springs, openers that grind but don't lift, off-track panels, snapped cables, worn rollers - that's the bulk of what fills our schedule. The housing across this part of Los Angeles was built mostly between 1943 and 1961, with a lot of the surrounding neighborhoods carrying 1960s-70s stock, so we see a specific set of problems over and over: original single-piece doors still hanging on side-mounted torsion hardware, openers from an era before rolling codes, and steel tracks that have been reset one too many times. That doesn't mean we turn away newer builds - Playa Vista and Century City have plenty of doors installed well after 2000 - but the bulk of our calls come from the older side-mount and extension-spring setups that dominate blocks near Palms, Mar Vista, and Beverlywood. We don't do fencing, we don't do gate automation, and we're not a general handyman outfit. One honest limitation: if a door's frame is warped or the opening itself is out of square, that's a carpentry problem before it's a garage door problem, and we'll tell you that instead of forcing a fix that won't hold.
